Marriott Begins Work on Triple-Brand, 470-Key Property

Marriott International Inc. broke ground on a first-ever triple-branded property. The 470-room hotel in Nashville’s SoBro neighborhood will house AC Hotels, Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites brands, at a total cost of $137 million. The project will be completed in the middle of 2018.

The 209-room AC Hotels, 125-room Springhill Suites and 136-room Residence Inn will be built in separate wings. Though three brand logos will be on the outside of the building, and guests will choose from different hospitality experiences inside, developer North Point Hospitality of Atlanta, GA, will consolidate behind-the-scenes operations and space to reduce expenses.

Marriott is no stranger to dual-brand properties; as of June 2016, it had 52 dual-brand hotels open, 84 approved and 32 under construction.
