Mathis Brothers Takes 160K SF at Irvine Co.’s Home Furnishings Destination

Irvine Company Retail Properties signed a 160,000-square-foot deal with Mathis Brothers Furniture at The Market Place. The independent furniture retailer joins a 165-acre retail center that straddles Irvine and Tustin, CA.

Set to open to the public in spring 2020, the new Mathis Brothers Furniture location will expand the mix of furniture retailers, including Ethan Allen, Natuzzi Editions and Thomasville Home Furnishings. The addition boosts The Market Place’s stature as one of SoCal’s premier home furnishings retail destinations.

Located on the Irvine side of The Market Place, the massive showroom will also feature displays of products, as well as an 8,000-square-foot atrium with an outdoor furniture selection and a full bar where shoppers can enjoy a complimentary refreshment and relax in the fresh air. It is the Mathis Brothers’ first Orange County location.
