Fort Collins, CO Apartment Surge Led by McWhinney

During the first four months of the year, seven permits were issued to build 23 new multifamily housing units in Fort Collins, CO. If this doesn’t seem like a big deal, it doesn’t take into account that Fort Collins already has nearly 2,000 apartments in all stages of development.

Right now, the largest planned projects will be developed by McWhinney Inc., which acquired 12 acres from Alberta Development Partners last year. The land is near the Foothills Mall site under development by Alberta, and McWhinney anticipates a construction launch on its 400-unit, $92 million multifamily project this month.
