Methodist Healthcare System is planning a major expansion on its Northeast Methodist Hospital by early 2019. The $46 million project will add two new floors on top of the existing inpatient tower, at 12412 Judson Rd. in Live Oak, TX, which will accommodate 60 beds. Northeast Methodist serves Bexar, Guadalupe and Comal counties on San Antonio’s far north and northeast sides.
Northeast Methodist is also nearing completion on a separate expansion that is adding approximately 9,000 square feet to its emergency department, and involves renovation of an additional 4,800 existing square feet of hospital space. According to Northeast Methodist’s Michael Beaver, these expansions are just the start.
“This is just the beginning of the master-plan process that will take us through the next five to 10 years,” he told the San Antonio Business Journal.
