Ride sharing, shopping online and posting on social media aren’t the only activities popular with Millennials. They are also helping drive California wine sales to record highs.
According to the latest retail sales numbers, winemakers in the Golden State toasted a record year, and U.S. sales hit $34 billion in 2016, an increase of 4.6% over the previous year.
Unsurpassed quality and taste of California wines are contributing factors to overall sales increases. Millennials are an emerging component of the market though, and winemakers have taken notice.
Interesting, Millennials are seeking out the “cutesy, artsy kind of labels.” And winemakers are responding with new, exciting labels being marketed for the Millennial generation.
