Mormon Church to Become MXU Development

A former Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints church will have a second life as a mixed-use retail and office asset. Structured Real Estate of Chicago is finding a new use for the former Mormon church at 3080 N. Civic Center Plaza in Old Town Scottsdale, AZ.

The building, which totals approximately 21,800 square feet and sits on two acres, was built in 1958. It had been vacant for several years, when Structured Real Estate acquired it last April for $3.25 million.

Structured’s Steve Doyle is calling the redevelopment ‘Meetinghouse at 3080’. His plan is to keep the church structure, which includes stained glass windows, a clock tower and exposed ceilings. Doyle is in discussion with prospective tenants.
