The Howard Hughes Corp., in conjunction with its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Woodlands Development Co., unveiled The Woodland Hills, a 2,000-acre master-planned community. The development is in Conroe and Willis, TX, 13 miles north of The Woodlands, TX, in the far-north Houston MSA.
Situated on Farm-to-Market Road 830 at Interstate 45, The Woodland Hills’ plans call for more than 4,500 residences, with the first single-family houses expected to open in Q1 2018. The development will also include 112 acres of open space, a 17-acre village park, and 20 neighborhood parks, as well as hiking/biking trails and a retail component. Children residing in the new development will attend school at the Willis Independent School District.
“The Woodlands Hills will feature gently rolling terrain for its natural amenities and acres of green space, as well as for its convenience to The Woodlands,” said Tim Welbes, Co-President of The Woodlands Development Co.
