Newly Built Starbucks Sells to California Investor

Avalon Development of Scottsdale sold its recently delivered, 2,400-square-foot Starbucks store to W.A. Thompson, a California investor. The store, with a drive-through, opened in 2019, and is at 1252 S. Country Club Dr. in Mesa, AZ.

Mindy Korth, John Jackson and Sean Westfall with Colliers International represented the seller in the transaction. “Starbucks recently entered into a 10-year lease on this property,” Korth said. “This long-term lease from a global, investment-grade brand within one of the most densely populated areas of Mesa nearly guarantees success for the tenant and the buyer.”

The facility is situated less than a half-mile north of US 60 Highway, which serves as a popular commuting route for Mesa residents. The nearest freestanding Starbucks stores north of the freeway are two miles west and seven miles east of this store.
