Newport Beach Marina Center Gets Major Overhaul

Work on revitalizing the 116,000-square-foot Lido Marina Village, a mixed-use asset acquired by DJM Capital Partners in 2013, is well underway. The 70s-built center, by Newport Harbor, currently has refurbished storefronts in place to make way for a collection of new tenants.

The new tenants will be a mix of upscale boutiques, a gourmet market and restaurants. DJM has not named any of the tenants yet, with the exception of Los Angeles-based Juice Served Here, which is taking up a 1,100-square-foot space and specializes in detoxifying drinks.

DJM officials say that the tenants coming in will not be any shops that are usually seen in malls. At the same time, there will not be any first-time operators. About 24,000 square feet will be devoted to restaurants.

Residents should see evidence of the partially finished product in the summer.
