Newport Center Condos Move Forward With Community’s Cooperation

Newport Beach-based Newport Center Anacapa Associates is moving forward on 150 Newport Center, a new 49-unit luxury residential project near Fashion Island. A trio of Newport Beach residents, Ron Soderling, Michael Lutton and Tod Ridgeway, envision a 1.3-acre, modern urban resort that appeals to locals seeking to retain the quality of life they’ve established.

Key to the seven-story condo development was meeting and collaborating with community organizations, to carefully assess local priorities. The development team says its plan will preserve views important to the community, and compared to previous uses, will reduce traffic by as much as 75 percent and conserve 2,000 gallons of water per day.

Designed by California-based architect, MVE + Partners, Inc., in a contemporary classic style, the project is expected to serve as an architectural work of public art in Newport Center.
