Taucha Hogue is a director in NKF’s Self Storage group, which has sold over $2 billion in properties since she joined the team in 2015. She came into the commercial real estate world from corporate real estate. This breadth of experience has enabled her to know what clients need and want, which enhances her ability to add value to every transaction.
When Hogue decided to make the transition from corporate real estate (at Shell), she met with every broker she knew in Houston, regardless of specialty, to identify the right fit with the right team. When she met Aaron Swerdlin and Kenneth Cox, co-heads of NKF’s Self Storage group, it was an instant connection, as they aligned with her core morals and ethics — treating each clients’ investments as if they are their own and holding steadfast to their values and principles.
The sector has proven to be a dynamic and exciting space, and a successful new career path for Hogue. Most recently, her team closed a 50-property portfolio sale; one of the largest, non-merger self-storage transactions in history. She’s an active member in both commercial real estate and self storage industry associations, including NAIOP and the Self Storage Association’s Young Leaders Group.
For her emergence as a leader in the sector, Hogue has won a Connect Media Texas region Next Generation Award. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
