Nordstrom Rack is set to join the merchant mix in fall 2017 at Brookfield’s 330,000-square-foot FIGat7th retail center in DTLA. The outlet brand of the Seattle-based department chain signed a deal for 27,000 square feet that previously housed a Sports Chalet.
Major retailers see new opportunities in DTLA as a result of the significant residential sector boom, and office tenant growth. The FIGat7th location is the 12th Nordstrom Rack in SoCal, and the company also operates eight full-line stores in the area.
Brookfield’s Bert Dezzutti said, “[Nordstrom Rack’s] on-trend merchandise appeals to our entire customer base, solidifies FIGat7th as the one-stop shopping destination for downtown, and will encourage even more cross-shopping throughout the center.”
Charles Dunn Co.’s Ted Slaught and Kevin Dee represented Brookfield.
