Nordstrom Rack Relocates to LBX

Nordstrom Rack is relocating from Lakewood Center to a 28,000-square-foot store at Burnham Ward Properties LLC’s Long Beach Exchange (LBX) food-focused retail center in Long Beach, CA. The affiliate of Newport Beach, CA-based Burnham USA Equities is redeveloping the 27-acre, 265,000-square-foot property on the border with Lakewood.

Slated to open in spring 2018, LBX includes anchor Whole Foods 365, as well as a mix of dining, fitness and national retail merchants. The airport hangar-themed project is adjacent to Long Beach Airport, and is envisioned to host farmer’s markets and other events.

The site, at Lakewood Blvd. and Carson St., is also near Long Beach City College, where roughly 30,000 students are enrolled.
