Connect Healthcare is coming up October 2 and 3, 2019 at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast. More information about the event and registration details can be found here.
Mercy Health System of Northwest Arkansas recently opened its seventh clinic in the past three years—a $47 million multispecialty facility in Springdale—and next month it will open a new seven-story patient tower totaling $133 million.
Eric Pianalto, president of Mercy Hospital in Rogers, said the tower adds 142 new rooms to the hospital, more than doubling its size. The project is about $15 million over budget, mostly due to additional equipment and plan modifications for more space.
Cardiology, as well as the women, babies and neonatal nursery departments, will be housed in the new tower, along with the hospital pharmacy and lab, according to Pianalto. The intensive care unit will be on the fourth floor of the new facility.
The clinics and new tower are part of Mercy Health’s five-year plan to invest $277 million in Northwest Arkansas. The plan also involved hiring about 100 doctors and roughly 1,000 new support staff.
