PacBio Opens 180K-SF Menlo Park HQ Facility

Silicon Valley biotech developer Tarlton Properties, Inc. leased 180,000 square feet of HQ space in Menlo Park, CA to Pacific Biosciences of California Inc. (PacBio). The pioneer in the new field of genomic sequencing will call the new facility within Menlo Park Labs home through 2027.

The property at 1305 O’Brien Dr. was transformed from a former Office Max distribution facility. It now includes a two-story lobby, exterior amenities space, extensive research labs, manufacturing floor space and a conference center.

Tarlton Properties’ John Tarlton said, “We are proud PacBio has chosen to take on the next phase of their growth at Menlo Park Labs, and that we were able to use our deep expertise in life sciences to design a platform for their exciting next steps.”

NGKF’s Randy Scott and Kristoph Lodge represented the tenant, while Kidder Mathews’ Gregg Domanico and Mary Hines advised  the landlord.
