Panattoni Development Co. and equity partner MetLife Investment Management broke ground on Bayport South, a 642,994-square-foot, Class A, speculative warehouse in Pasadena, TX. Construction on the building at 10575 Red Bluff Rd. is expected to be completed in Q1 2020. JLL’s Richard Quarles SIOR, Jaret Venghaus SIOR and Mark Nicholas SIOR will provide leasing services.
The cross-dock facility will be foreign-trade-zone-capable, with proximity to the Bayport Container Terminal (three miles away) and Barbours Cut Container Terminal (nine miles away). The facility will feature 36-foot clear height, 150 trailer storage parking spaces and 180 truck courts.
“Bayport South represents an outstanding opportunity to continue our objective to develop strategically located projects in Houston’s key industrial submarkets,” said Todd King with Panattoni Development. “The nearby Port of Houston container facilities, the Ship Channel, and the petrochemical complex are all critical national infrastructure components that make this area a great long-term investment.”
