Parkland Health & Hospital System is getting ready to add 525,000 square feet more to its four-year-old, $1.3 billion main campus northwest of downtown Dallas. The healthcare system will launch construction in February 2019 on the six-story clinic and office building, which is valued at $154 million.
Parkland’s John Raish told the Dallas Morning News that construction would last approximately 24 months, with the opening scheduled for early 2021. The building, which will contain clinic and office space, will be situated on Maple Avenue just east of the Parkland campus.
Once open, the facility will be home to Parkland’s new comprehensive breast-care center. Additionally, the top floors will house administrative operations that are still in the old Parkland campus on Harry Hines Boulevard. The former Parkland campus is up for sale.
