Penta Partners LLC sold a freestanding office building totaling 16,253 square feet in Orlando to SESCO Lighting for $3.4 million. The sales price, which breaks out to $211 per square foot, set a record for the metro. Damien Madsen and Tommy Pinel with Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller.
The asset, at 222 W. Maitland Blvd., came online in 1983, and was renovated in 2005. The seller consists of the founders of Helman Hurley Charvat Peakcock Architects. The founding partners recently sold their interest in the firm, but continued retaining ownership of 222 W. Maitland.
SESCO Lighting plans to relocate its Winter Park, FL headquarters to the just-purchased building. The asset, which was used for academic purposes as well as for office activities, was vacant at the time of sale.
