Baseball scouting organization Perfect Game announced it would relocate its national headquarters from Cedar Rapids, IA, to Hutto, TX. The company had studied potential sites in 48 states, before deciding on the Central Texas city. The $800 million private investment, which will include a mixed-use development that features an indoor 300,000-square-foot arena, represents the largest economic development deal in Hutto’s history.
The partnership between the city of Hutto, Perfect Game, Wolverine Interests LLC, Sports Facility Advisory and Sports Facilities Management will feature 24 turf baseball fields, 10 of which the city is developing for public use. It’s estimated that the development will generate demand for more than 150,000 hotel room nights for the region.
The development will be situated at U.S. 79 and Country Road 132, adjacent to Fritz Park.
