Phase I of Park & Rec Master Plan Launches

The Dallas Park and Recreation Department has broken ground on the Crawford Family Aquatic Center. The facility at Prairie Creek Road and U.S. 175 officially launched the $54-million aquatic master plan, which will place and/or upgrade family aquatic centers throughout the city. The first phase of the plan will see a total of three new centers being built, with the Crawford center anticipated to be completed by May 2019.

The Aquatic Master Plan calls for similar resort-style aquatic centers in the north, central and southern portions of Dallas. A timeline for construction on other centers has not yet been determined, and the plan indicated that there is enough funding for only the first phase.
