P+R Architects officially changes its name to Retail Design Collaborative. The Long Beach, CA-based architectural firm says the decision to rename and rebrand reflects the firm’s creative and forward-thinking approach towards the future of retail.
Retail Design Collaborative’s Steve Ruth says, “As architects, we have experienced many moments of evolution within the retail and commercial markets. This rename reflects our deep commitment and passion to being thought leaders in all aspects of the retail realm.”
The name change is driven by the firm’s desire to be at the forefront of shaping an ever-changing, all-encompassing retail evolution. Typology lines continue to blur between retail, hospitality, creative office, food and beverage, entertainment and residential. As e-commerce and traditional brick-and-mortar retail continues to find a balance, more emphasis is being placed on the experiential interaction within the retail environment.
