The Preiss Co. teamed with BCEG International Investment US to acquire two student-housing apartment complexes. The 624-bed High View Place serves students attending the University of Texas-San Antonio. Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, the 480-bed Rebel Place houses those attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
The properties were sold by Waypoint Residential of Stamford, CT, which had acquired the assets in 2017 as part of a five-property student-housing portfolio buy.
High View Place, at 15949 Chase Hill Blvd., has one-, two- and four-bedroom plans, ample study space, a WiFi-enabled clubhouse and computer lab, and an outdoor swimming pool and spa. The new owners are overseeing a multimillion-dollar refurbishment of the property.
Situated at 3896 Swenson St., Rebel Place has two, three and four-bedroom layouts, a 24/7 fitness center, barbecue/picnic area, clubhouse with media room and cybercafe. Also on hand are a resort-style swimming pool, poolside theater and pool table. Preiss Co. is planning upgrades.
