Prepare for Invasion of the Snake People, and Other Weird Extensions

Many headlines these days talk about the millennial generation as some kind of weird phenomenon. This trend encouraged web designer Eric Bailey, himself a millennial, to create an extension called “Millennials to Snake People.” Basically, with this extension on your browser, it will change any online use of the word “millennial” into “snake person.”

Nor is the “Millennials to Snake People” the only funny browser extension. One extension replaces every online photo with an image of actor Nicholas Cage – that one has more than 119,000 users on Google Chrome. Meanwhile, in New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is offering “Meow Met.” This Chrome extension puts the image of a cat from the Met’s online art collection in every new Google tab opened.
