Private Motorsports to Build $25M Auto Country Club

Scottsdale, AZ-based Private Motorsports Group is under contract to buy 280 acres in the city of Maricopa, AZ from El Dorado Holdings. Once the Pinal County land transaction is completed, the Scottsdale-based buyer will start construction on Apex Motor Club, a $25-million private country club for auto-racing enthusiasts.

Apex will offer a track where members can race, “car condos” where cars can be stored and worked on, and a 12,000-square-foot clubhouse where they can grab a bite to eat, exercise or meet with friends. Bob Barnard of Motorsports Service International designed the concept, with Phoenix-based LGE building it. The development is expected to break ground in Q2 2017, with completion taking place 18 months later.
