Rapid NYC Expansion Leads Catchafire to Lease Another Floor

Catchafire, which makes skill-based connections between professional volunteers and nonprofits, has expanded its headquarters at 31 E. 32nd St. In a transaction arranged by Savitt Partners, Catchafire recently inked a 5,532-square-foot lease for the entire fourth floor of the boutique office property, expanding its presence there to 11,064 square feet.

Savitt’s Elliot Zelinger and Corey Hight arranged the long-term lease on behalf of the building ownership, the Kiamie family.

Catchafire initially leased just 800 square feet at another Kiamie property, the Arcade Building at 118 E. 28th St. The firm grew quickly and wanted to remain within the owner’s portfolio, first moving to 31 E. 32nd and then relocating to a larger space within the property.

“This newest transaction is a prime example of how valuable landlord-tenant relationships can provide mutual benefits,” said Zelinger.
