Redevelopment Launched at Pomona’s Historic YMCA Building

Spectra Company commenced redevelopment of Pomona, CA’s historic YMCA Building, an 80,000-square-foot property built in 1920 and listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The Pomona-based developer gathered with city officials and community leaders to embark on a new vision for The Village Pomona.

The two existing free-standing buildings at 350 N. Garey Ave., which Spectra Company acquired last summer for $2.65 million, will be restored to their former glory. Plans also include creating updated live/work spaces, newly designed creative offices, state of the art concert and special event venues, and a coffee bar/cafe and lounge for the community.

Spectra Company’s Ray Adamyk says, “Our goal is to maintain the historic integrity of this landmark building, while adaptively reusing the creative space in a sustainable manner that will support the visions and goals of our community.”
