Redevelopment Planned for Struggling Chino Hills Retail Center

A major overhaul of Crossroads Marketplace, one of Chino Hills, CA’s largest retail centers, is being proposed. A redevelopment plan submitted by Los Angeles-based CRCH LLC is aimed at reviving the struggling center that opened in the late 1990s.

The owner envisions demolishing some existing buildings in order to add 120 condos, a supermarket, 266,000 square feet of retail space, restaurants, a movie Cineplex, and three parking structures. That will require a zoning change to allow a mixed-use development at the site.

A 2018 ground breaking is projected, with completion slated for 2022.

The owner seeks to differentiate the shopping center from nearby competitors by providing entertainment, retail and restaurants that could appeal to international market tastes.
