Related California Urban Housing LLC is proposing a 26-story condominium tower in Newport Center that’s currently home to the Orange County Museum of Art. The 23,000-square-foot building at 850 San Clemente Dr. will be demolished once the museum relocates to a new facility next to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
Related’s proposed tower would include 47 two-bedroom, 2.5-bath condos, and 53 three-bedroom, 3.5-bath condos ranging from 1,750 square feet to 4,950 square feet. The condo tower would be one of the tallest buildings in Orange County, standing at 295 feet high.
Newport Beach officials are holding public meetings for comments about the proposed residential project.
