Ribbon-Cutting at Houston’s Gensler-Renovated Schools

Two ribbon-cutting ceremonies have taken place for KIPP: Climb Academy and KIPP: Prime College Preparatory in Houston, two schools renovated from a former vacant building that once housed at-risk youth. The founding classes of the schools at 8805 Ferndale totaled 120 kindergartners and 100 fifth-graders.

The KIPP program has 200 charter schools in the United States. The just-opened school, designed and renovated by Gensler, is Houston’s first.
