Woodbranch Investments Corp. acquired the Hotel Valencia River Walk in San Antonio from GrayStreet Partners, a San Antonio developer. Specifically, the Houston-based Woodbranch paid $14.3 million to acquire the half-acre parcel at 150 E. Houston St., on which the 12-story hotel building rests. The building itself is owned by the Valencia Group, which occupies the land through a long-term lease.
GrayStreet acquired the parcel in 2015, when it bought nine Houston Street properties from Federal Realty Investment Trust of Maryland. The Mansour Group represented GrayStreet in the sale.
The buy is Woodbranch’s first in San Antonio. It has no plans to make any changes to the property. Hotel Valencia recently completed a $10 million renovation on the building, which opened in 2003.
