The Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted to continue developing a three-story, 200,000-square-foot medical office building next to Riverside University Health System-Medical Center in Moreno Valley, CA. The facility is under construction on 17.38 acres of county-owned land next to the hospital campus along Cactus Avenue, and slated to open in September 2019.
The MOB includes a single-story, 8,000-square-foot lobby and café, and will house outpatient surgery and pharmaceutical services. Trammell Crow Co. is serving as the developer, and is also financing the $113.4-million project.
Riverside County will lease the building for 25 years, and could acquire it after 10 years. The county could acquire the facility at the end of the lease for $1. Riverside’s struggling health care network is anchored by the 439-bed hospital, and the new facility is envisioned as a way to generate revenue and improve services.
