Newmark Knight Frank hired healthcare and seniors housing experts Ryan Maconachy, Chad Lavender, Dave Fasano, Ross Sanders and Sarah Anderson to grow its Healthcare & Alternative Real Estate Assets platform. The team, formerly with HFF, will operate out of NKF’s Dallas office.
Maconachy and Lavender — both taking the position of vice chairmen — Fasano (Senior Managing Director) and Sanders (Managing Director) will focus on investment sales. Anderson, as Managing director, will handle debt and equity. The team’s recent activities include taking REIT Sentio Healthcare Properties private; and the sale to, and financing of, Somerby Senior Living’s portfolio to Bridge Investment Group.
“Lavender and Maconachy bring an impressive track record of healthcare and seniors housing expertise to the platform nationally,” said NKF’s Blake Oakland, who added that the company has been targeting “the best producers” to broaden service and coverage.
