ServerFarm, a California-based data center developer, and NYI, which provides managed hybrid IT solutions, have formed a partnership to support the rapid growth of latency-sensitive applications in the Chicago area related to edge, IoT, AI and 5G.
The partnership centers around ServerFarm’s CH1 facility at 840 S. Canal St. in the West Loop and NYI’s CH2/Oak Brook facility at 800/810 Jorie Blvd. This includes direct access to Digital Realty Trust’s 1.1-million-square foot interconnection hub at 350 East Cermak.
“Considering Chicago’s appetite to stay at the forefront of technological innovation, it’s clear that the area offers massive demand for what this partnership has to offer,” said ServerFarm CEO Avner Papouchado. Cushman & Wakefield recently ranked Chicago fourth among global data center markets.
With a view toward benefiting clients of both companies, the partnership will serve the needs of customers ranging from small and medium enterprises to larger global organizations.
