ServiceNow Leases 48K SF, Will Ramp Up Chicago Hiring

Currently housed in an Industrious coworking space within the Fulton Market District, Santa Clara, CA-based ServiceNow will move into traditional offices later this year. The company, which established its presence here last spring, has confirmed a Crain’s Chicago Business report that it has leased 48,000 square feet on two floors at McCaffery Interests’ newly-built 1201 W. Lake St. in the district.

ServiceNow plans to ramp up its Chicago-area hiring to fill the new space. Its local team numbers 35 at present, but the company expects to have more than 100 Chicago employees by the end of 2020, Crain’s reported.

One of a number of Silicon Valley firms who have tapped into Chicago’s tech talent and expanded their presence here, ServiceNow is the largest tenant to date at 1201 W. Lake. McCaffery built the 150,000-square-foot property on spec, betting on increased appetite for office space in Fulton Market.
