SJP Properties’ high-end residential condominium tower at 200 Amsterdam Ave. has reportedly topped out construction, Crain’s New York Business reported. It will feature 112 units, ranging from one to five bedrooms.
SJP said it would launch sales of its condos next month, according to Crain’s. Prices at 200 Amsterdam will start at $2.95 million.
Located between 67th and 68th streets on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the project has attracted controversy since its original review by the city in 2017, according to Crain’s . The controversy arose mainly because of how a previous developer obtained air rights from neighboring properties to assemble the development site.
The most recent lawsuit seeking to block full construction at 200 Amsterdam was filed at the end of July. It followed a decision from the city’s Board of Standards and Appeals that allowed the project to move forward.
