Snapchat’s Potential IPO Valued at $25 Billion

Snapchat’s parent company, Snap Inc., is reportedly considering an initial public offering that values the company at $25 billion. That number is significantly higher than the company’s most recent valuation of $17.8 billion.

The last technology company with valuation so high was in 2014, when China’s e-commerce company Alibaba went public. According to sources, Snapchat’s IPO may take place as early as March.  The company is expecting to earn $1 billion in revenue.

Next year, Snapchat is expected to have 66.6 million users.
