Elon Musk’s dreams are out of this world, literally. The innovative Musk has unveiled plans to send spacecrafts to Mars by 2018 under his project, Red Dragon.
Falcon Heavy, SpaceX’s booster that has the strength to carry a 737 plane into orbit, will take the unmanned spaceships on their journey. Musk has also set a goal to send humans to Mars by 2026, and believes that, “Either we spread earth to other planets, or we risk going extinct.”
NASA will reportedly assist SpaceX with technical support.
