Starbucks Gets Lyft-ed & Gifted With Ride-Share Partnership

Coffee giant Starbucks and ride-sharing service Lyft are continuing their digital partnership in brick-and-mortar retail stores. Twenty-dollar Lyft gift cards will be available at Starbucks locations, with an extra five-dollar bonus for Starbucks upon purchase. Additionally, Lyft riders can earn Starbucks rewards points just for riding with them.

In July of last year, Lyft and Starbucks initiated their partnership that allowed Lyft drivers to opt into Starbucks’ Gold Level status, and grant passengers the option to tip their drivers with Starbucks gift cards. The two are also continuing to test free late-night rides for Starbucks employees in the Bay Area.

Both companies entered the agreement with an “open-ended” mindset, to see where the partnership can expand further into the future.
