Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has kicked off its $20 million renovation of the Westin Galleria Houston hotel. The property at 5060 W. Alabama will undergo renovations to guest rooms, bathrooms, pool deck and lobby. Starwood plans to add more hotel suites, as well.
C-TC Design Studio of Atlanta, GA is the renovation’s architect, while Roanoke, TX-based Lippe Construction Services Inc. is the general contractor.
The Westin is one of a handful of Houston hotels that are receiving face-lifts. The Four Seasons Houston in the CBD is in the middle of a multiphase renovation. Brookfield Property Partners, which just acquired the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel-Houston Downtown, will also renovate the property.
