Stater Bros. Breaks Ground in Rancho Cucamonga

San Bernardino, CA-based Stater Bros. broke ground on a 45,000-square-foot grocery store in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Originally envisioned by Jack H. Brown, the late founder of the company, the store will be built at Day Creek Marketplace shopping center, located at Day Creek Boulevard and Base Line Road.

Upland, CA-based Lewis Group of Companies is developing the retail center, which totals roughly 100,000 square feet. Among the 23 retailers committed to space so far are CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks and Jersey Mike’s Subs.

Lewis Group’s Randy Lewis said the center will bring needed retail to an under-served part of the city.

The Stater Bros. store, which was dedicated in honor of the entire Brown family, will anchor the center and is slated to be completed in Q4 2017.
