Building 212, a 130,000-square-foot light manufacturing and creative office building at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, is now open and nearly 40% filled by an eclectic group of tenants, according to the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC). The property is also home to the city’s first Wegmans supermarket.
BNYDC has now signed 30,000 square feet of leases in the building, with letters of intent for 22,000 more square feet. Admirals Row is being developed by Steiner NYC, with Steiner leasing Building 212 back to BNYDC along with the neighboring under-construction Building 303.
“The Navy Yard is a hub for innovative and sustainable companies that need flexible space to grow and thrive, and Building 212 offers exactly the types of smaller spaces right in the sweet spot for many light manufacturing companies,” said BNYDC president David Ehrenberg.
