Sterling Bay has launched a philanthropic initiative, SB Cares. It will work with local members of the community, as well as Sterling Bay employees, to identify groups and organizations that focus on creating new opportunities for growth, whether individual or community-oriented.
“Sterling Bay is from Chicago, develops for Chicago and is committed to making a positive impact on Chicago,” said CEO Andy Gloor. “As we continue to grow our presence here in our hometown, our commitment to transforming communities remains steadfast, and we look forward to continuing those efforts – together with our employees and neighbors – through the meaningful work of SB Cares.”
Since its inception, Sterling Bay has donated in excess of $8.2 million to nonprofit organizations, and contributed $10.7 million to the city’s Neighborhood Opportunity Fund. In 2018 alone, the owner/developer supported more than 100 local organizations spanning a variety of causes.
