Sterling Bay, which is in the process of developing McDonald’s new headquarters in Chicago’s Fulton Market District, wants to develop even more. Specifically, the developer is in talks with the city about developing 400,000 square feet of office space on the western edge of the Kennedy Expressway, at an approximate cost of $200 million.
Pending approval from the city and neighborhood groups, the nine-story structure would go north on land east of the former Coyne College at 330 N. Green St. Sterling Bay is in talks with office tenants that would be large enough to begin construction. Sterling Bay bought the property, as well as Coyne’s 76,000-square-foot building, for $25 million in July.
