Sterling Bay Pulls Back Curtain on Lincoln Yards MXU

Sterling Bay has unveiled new renderings for its proposed Lincoln Yards mixed-use project that would redevelop more than 70 acres of formerly industrial land along the Chicago River. Among other newly- revealed features, the project would create a skate park and climbing wall in the Viaduct under the Kennedy Expressway, and relocate a Chicago Metra station to a transit center onsite.

The developer plans to spend as much as $10 billion to develop Lincoln Yards, pending City Council zoning approvals for the project. Its acreage includes the former A. Finkl & Sons Steel plant, and Sterling Bay envisions that it could include Amazon’s second headquarters should the e-commerce giant decide on Chicago for its HQ2.
