Los Angeles-based Stockdale Capital Partners revealed a new look into its planned The Campus at Horton in downtown San Diego. It envisions a vibrant mixed-use high-tech office, lifestyle retail and food and beverage experience at the former retail center.
Newly-released visuals highlight inspired workspaces that will house 3,000 to 4,000 new innovation economy jobs created by the redevelopment. The first phase of the redevelopment is expected to contribute to $1.8 billion dollars in annual economic activity.
The initial transformation of the former Nordstrom building includes adding an additional 150,000 square feet of space to the existing building (pictured) and creating a new contemporary-designed exterior. Inside, the building will feature forward-thinking and light-filled workspaces that take advantage of SoCal’s indoor/outdoor lifestyle and maximize expansive views of downtown and the San Diego Bay.
Stockdale aims to begin construction later this year, with plans to complete The Campus at Horton in 2020.
