Stream Data Center recently acquired 23 acres in Garland, TX, a suburb of Dallas. Stream is planning to develop the 400,000-square-foot DFW VII data center, with the first 140,000-square-foot phase ready by the end of 2018. The acreage is on Lookout Drive near the Richardson, TX border, and will be used for facilities that accommodate hyperscale users.
Over the past 20 years, Stream has developed or acquired more than two million square feet of data center space in Texas, Minnesota, Illinois, California and Colorado. “Stream’s DFW VII data center will follow a successful formula from our previous Dallas-area developments and benefit from the best practices and improvements we’ve made along the way,” said Stream Data Centers’ Paul Moser.
