The city of Sugar Land, TX approved a tax abatement agreement with Johnson Development Associates Inc. With help from that, the developer will move ahead on a new speculative industrial park, consisting of two buildings, situated on 18 acres and totaling 315,892 square feet.
The buildings will be off Gillingham Lane, between Jess Pirtle and West Airport boulevards. A specific groundbreaking date was not announced, though Sugar Land’s Economic Development Assistant Director Devon Rodriguez indicated that JDA would be marketing the two buildings while under construction, with 100% occupancy anticipated by March 2021.
JDA is no stranger to developing industrial assets in Texas’ Houston metro; it is currently building out the speculative Pinto Business Park (Houston) and Bayport South Business Park (Pasadena).
