A joint venture between Irvine, CA-based SunCal and Montville, NJ-based Diversified Realty Advisors plans to commence construction on Edge-on-Hudson, a $1-billion, transit-oriented, mixed-use development on the site of the former General Motors Assembly Plant in Sleepy Hollow, NY. The 70-acre site along the Hudson River is located 25 miles north of New York City.
Edge-on-Hudson is planned for 1,177 units of housing, a 140-room hotel, 135,000 square feet of retail and 35,000 square feet of office. The project’s more than 16 acres of parkland and winding promenade along the water links to the existing RiverWalk to the south and Kingsland Point Park to the north. The development will restore access to the waterfront and jumpstart economic development in the area.
Pennsylvania-based Toll Brothers purchased lots in Phase 1 of the project and plans to build as many as 306 units of housing, including 61 affordable workforce and senior housing units.
