Dana R. Schneider will join Empire State Realty Trust (ESRT), effective Oct. 1, as SVP, director of energy and sustainability. She’ll lead all of the REIT’s company- and property-level sustainability initiatives, while providing critical input on its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting.
“As a longtime partner to ESRT and its predecessors on sustainability initiatives – particularly in the groundbreaking energy retrofit of the Empire State Building – Dana has proven her ability to work with our team and add value, and will lead ESRT in these critical areas,” said Anthony E. Malkin, chairman and CEO of ESRT.
Schneider has led JLL’s Energy and Sustainability Projects team nationally since 2002, focusing on the development and implementation of energy and sustainability programs for a range of clients and project types. She has led energy and sustainability assignments on more than 60 million square feet, and was a LEED consultant for 89 projects at JLL.
