San Diego-based Douglas Wilson Cos.’ revealed plans for Sweetwater Vistas, a 218-unit multifamily project in San Diego’s Spring Valley community. The entry-level townhomes are envisioned to be built on a site formerly slated to house a golf course 10-miles east of downtown San Diego.
The plan for the 52-acre site includes three styles of residences that will be priced starting from the low $400,000s, with 28 acres of open space. Hansen’s Creek and its sensitive plant and wildlife will be preserved.
Located at Jamacha and Sweetwater Springs boulevards, the development near the Sweetwater Reservoir received San Diego County Board of Supervisors approval last week. The project has been in the works for the past three years to change the use into what the developer believes will be one of the largest projects of its kind in San Diego County offering multifamily for-sale homes at that price point.
